With 2025 just beginning, its time for an introduction.
Whether it be in art classes or on her own, Ashley has always enjoyed working creatively. In high school, she took her creative passion more seriously and found her love for design through classes, clubs, and participating in extracurricular activities. In her search for a career path, Ashley knew creativity had to be involved.
Now in college, Ashley is a senior at Quinnipiac University, pursuing a Bachelors degree in Graphic and Interactive Design and Master’s degree in Interactive Media and Communications through the 3+1 accelerated program. Throughout her university experience, she has gained valuable knowledge of design, media, and communications. Taking a range of design courses, she especially enjoys designing websites and working on brand collateral. Furthermore, as a past and current member of The Agency at Quinnipiac, Ashley continues to explore her different interests in communications, and has also been able to help companies by incorporating her designs.
Additionally, Ashley is a member of the AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts) on campus. This past semester, she attended conferences in New York City, where she was able to speak with other passionate professionals in the industry who were able to share their inspiring stories. Ashley looks forward to eventually working in the music or fashion industry, designing for companies in a big city, like New York.
For almost three years, Ashley has worked with a local small business, The Organic Juice Barn and improved their social media presence, specifically through Instagram. This experience has only increased her love for content creation and social media management. Additionally, this allowed her to continue helping other businesses build their digital presence.
Last Spring, Ashley had the transformative opportunity to study abroad in her dream destination, Seoul, South Korea. Growing up in a small town, she thrived in Seoul’s vibrant culture and gained a new global perspective. Seoul’s inspiring, creative, and artistic atmosphere was better than she could have imagined. While studying at Korea University, Ashley was able to take a Spatial Design course and worked on one of her favorite design projects, she redesigned an existing shop’s physical and digital “space.” By the end of her time abroad, Ashley had created the cafe’s new design concept, interior design, and website design.
Now in her final semester at Quinnipiac, Ashley is excited to refine her skills while building her final portfolio through courses like Typography II and Mobile Interactive Design, while continuing her work with The Agency!
